Install Grid Toolkit

Outcome

Import Grid Toolkit 1.0.0 and open its board-creation wizard.

Steps

1. Confirm the Unity version

The release targets Unity 6.0 through 6.6. See Compatibility and dependencies for package requirements.

2. Import Grid Toolkit

Choose the route that matches how you received the tool:

  • Unity Asset Store: open Window > Package Manager > My Assets, find Grid Toolkit, download version 1.0.0, and choose Import with the default selection.
  • Direct package file: choose Assets > Import Package > Custom Package..., select the Grid Toolkit .unitypackage supplied by Lost Lily, and import the default selection.

3. Verify the installation

  1. In Package Manager, confirm that com.unity.ugui 2.x is resolved.
  2. Open Tools > Lost Lily > Grid Toolkit > Create Grid Board....

The beginner path starts in a blank scene and does not require a Sample.

What you should see

The project compiles without Grid Toolkit errors and the Create Grid Board wizard opens. You are ready to create your first board.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Check
Duplicate type or assembly errors Remove the older Grid Toolkit folder; keep only one imported version.
Missing uGUI types Resolve com.unity.ugui 2.x in Package Manager.
The creation wizard is missing Confirm the Editor folders imported and resolve the first Console compilation error.

For an existing installation, use Update or remove Grid Toolkit.
